“My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O LORD; in the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and will look up.” Psalm 5:3
Yes, Lord, for me too, as soon as I open my eyes and lift up my head and then get one good stretch in, I will follow with a slide right down to the side of my bed to thank God first for waking me up.
Many do not wake up in the morning. I then ask Him to lead my day. I
want to do nothing at all unless it was inspired by God to do. I’d rather put my trust in God than myself.
I also ask Him to cover me with his loving grace, mercy and righteous.
Because of myself, I am a poor sad case of wretchedness.
I add specifics such as the request to be loving like Him, kind, caring and thoughtful because I know that my personality can be unfriendly, blah, unsociable and even mean at times.
Out there on the streets, I want to make sure that I have
made a special request for holy angels to surround me, my family, and loving friends wherever we go because I know that the devil and his evil angels will do anything and work through anybody to attack us physically as well as
mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
Once He has heard my voice in the morning, I am at ease and I can rest assure that my day is going to be a great one.
I look up and thank the Lord for His goodness as He keeps us everyday.
