DESCRIPTION
This course prepares students to apply discipleship and evangelistic principles utilized in ministerial settings, places of employment, educational institutions, home, and community. Topics include Bible study basics, field etiquette, basic health principles, church history, and basic theological concepts.
COURSE STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
Identify the historical foundation of the Bible and the Christian church
Gain a clear understanding of the call of the Christian disciple and the purpose of the church.
Demonstrate the tools of Bible work, Literature work and Health Evangelism.
Develop awareness of the importance of youth ministry in its uniqueness
Identify strategies for sharing the gospel in any setting
Develop key components in effective field evangelism
Assess effectiveness of a variety Bible study tools
Identify the tools and resources available for assistance in the impoverished communities
Develop skills in teaching, preaching and small groups
Examine soul winning and Bible study obstacles
Identify current and past trends of reclaiming and retaining church members
Define and describe basic Bible principles including prophetic facts.
