"SEE FOR YOURSELF"
“O Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man (or woman) that trust in Him.” Psalm 34:8
I am experiencing so much joy in my heart today. Nothing spectacular has happened. I haven’t come into a whole bunch of money, or property. It is not my birthday or any other anniversary. I simply have thoughts and wonderful reminders that I have and serve a loving Savior….protector, provider and friend and His name is Jesus.
I once lived a life of so much heartache and pain. So much so that I would have to medicate myself in ways that I don’t need to mention. But no more. Look at what Jesus came to say to us, “If you are tired from carrying heavy burdens, come to me and I will
give you rest. Take the yoke I give you.
Put it on your shoulders and learn from me. I am
gentle and humble, and you will find rest. This yoke is easy to bear, and this burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 And it is not just me.
There are many others who have lived lives of turmoil, suffering, pain, hurt, lonliness..and the list goes on but now they can truly testify and look back and say “no more. We have truly found the peace that only He
can give.”
I say to you, friends, “….because you belong to Christ Jesus, God will bless you with peace that no one can completely understand. And this peace will control the way you think and feel. Finally, my friends, keep your minds on whatever is true, pure, right, holy, friendly, and proper. Don't ever stop thinking about what is truly worthwhile and worthy of praise. And God, who gives peace, will be with you.” Phil. 4:7-9 See For Yourself.
