NEW BODIES

“Our dead and decaying bodies will be changed into bodies that won't die or decay. The bodies we now have are weak and can die. But they will be changed into bodies that are eternal…….” 1Cor. 15:53-54

What a wonderful promise! For because of sin, we are all prospective sick, diseased and dying people. Some of us may end up with diabetes, cancer, heart disease or AIDS. Some may end up in a tragic accident such as getting badly burned, or in a car accident that can damage us permanently. I am sorry. I am not trying to depress anyone for this is getting to me as I write but the GOOD NEWS is Jesus IS coming back and He promises that when He does, “It will happen suddenly, quicker than the blink of an eye. At the sound of
the last trumpet ………We will all be changed,…” Those that were blind, will seeimmediately! The first thing they will see is a loving and glorious Jesus! Those that are crippled will suddenly feel strength in their legs which will cause them to jump to their feet in joy and run to Jesus! The paralyzed and bedridden will spring from their beds in excitement!

I look forward to that day when I see my sister, Deanna. She died in a fatal car
accident over 20 years ago. She was only 21 and pregnant with a baby girl. Before this fatal tragedy when she was 4 or 5, we were all playing together outside. A boy was chasing us with glass throwing it on the ground. A piece of glass got into her eye and the doctors were not able to save it. She went on in life with a prosthetic eye. I want to see her on that day when her right eye is restored and when her angel walks over to her to place her little baby girl in
her arms.

I am going to cry now. And I will continue to cry from time to time but Jesus is going to wipe away all of my tears and yours. I look forward to that day. You?
